Knowledge Translation: The multi-dimensional, active process of ensuring that new knowledge gained through the course of research ultimately improves the lives of people with disabilities, and furthers their participation in society (NIDRR, 2005).

Effective and well-planned training is central to translating and applying new knowledge from research to practice to use within the VR system. The RRTC-EBP-VR, in collaboration with key partners, will apply knowledge translation (KT) concepts and recommendations to improve VR service outcomes to improve the effectiveness of service and program practices within state and federal VR agencies.
